When you’re young, you think have plenty of time to focus on your skin to prevent wrinkles and fine lines. There are plenty of skincare products that you can invest in and not to mention a healthy diet that can help prevent the major causes of wrinkles. Since wrinkles tend to become more visible after your mid 30s, having a good skincare regimen by the time you reach your mid 20s will easily keep fine lines at bay. Without taking effective measures to caringfor your skin, the results will be inevitably be shown. Here are some of the top causes of premature wrinkles that should be considered if you’re struggling with your skin.

Not Washing Your Face

It goes without saying that it’s important to wash your face each morning and night before bed. While natural oils from your skin might hydrate your pores, having excess oils and dirt on your skin can clog them and leave your skin looking unhealthy. If you’re skin is on the drier side, using a hydrating cleanser or a cleansing oil will help to keep your skin free from dirt and build while adding extra hydration.

Using Harsh Soaps

Always use a mild cleanser that is meant for your face, using a bar soap that is loaded with SLS can strip the skin and cause extreme flaking and tightness. Choose cleansers with moisturizers built in to soften the skin as you cleanse it. There are a few beauty bars that are easy on the skin, if they tend to make your skin feel tight you should discontinue using it. It’s important to listen to your skin instead of using products that causes an adverse reaction.

Moisturize Each Night

Hydrating your skin is important to prevent premature wrinkles and fine lines. Always use a moisturizer during the day with SPF and an ultra rich night cream before bed. Your night time cream should be thicker since your skin soaks up more moisture as you sleep. It’s important to note that you should always apply a moisturizer after you cleanse your skin to rehydrate any lost moisture.

Skipping on Sunscreen

Sun rays are the leading cause of premature wrinkles and fine lines. If you love being out in the sun, especially during the sweltering summer months you always want to protect your face and areas of your exposure body. Not only using a high content SPF but wearing large hats to cover your face is equally important.

While you can still continue life without a skincare routine, wrinkles can creep up at any age. You’ll reach a certain point when you feel the need to change up your daily routine to help your skin look youthful as ever. But if you’re lazy with your skin care, it doesn’t matter how old you are you’ll eventually develop lines around your eye, lips and neck without the proper skincare products.
