There are some excellent ways to really fulfill your desires of just winding down and forgetting all the stresses of the day! So, go on, treat yourself to one of these super sensational and indulgent baths for the ultimate experience in relaxation.


The Egyptian bath

Method: Use 1-2 cups of milk and 1/2 c.


Fancy treating your self to a pampering bath recipe that Cleopatra herself would have enjoyed? You will need only two ingredients; milk and honey. These ingredients are a fantastic way to achieve soft supple and smooth skin from head to toe. The lactic acid in milk is very exfoliating for your skin and the honey is softening, moisturizing, and all-around beautifying for your skin. Light a few candles and pop on one of your favorite face masks and let this beautiful bath work it’s magic.


A herbal bath for anything you need

Method: Choose some dry herbs of your choice and add them to a strainer then leave in your running bath. Some herbs you can try include:


Rosemary: For when you need to relax and increase alertness; it’s also an astringent and has purifying properties

Peppermint: Energizing and clarifying

Chamomile: Perfect to wind you down. Extremely relaxing and calming – perfect for dry or irritated skin

Relaxing bath detox


1/3 cup of Epsom salt

1/3 cup of sea salt

1 cup of apple cider vinegar

1/3 cup of baking soda


Pop all of the ingredients into your bathtub and run the hot water so they all mix together. This mixture of magical ingredients will not only cleanse your body but your mind and soul too. Your skin will be rejuvenated due to all the minerals in the salt.


Anti-anxiety soak


1/3 cup of Epsom salt

2 ½ tsp. ground ginger

1/3 cup of baking soda

5 drops of lavender oil


This soak is exactly what you need if you have anxiety or you are a worrier. It is also fantastic if you have had a tough weekend and put your body under a little too much strain. The salts will cleanse your skin and the ginger and lavender oil will relax your senses and put you at ease.

You can also make your own recipe for a perfect, relaxing bath. Choose your favorite herbs and essential oils, add some salts for a skin boost and you are all set for the perfect night in.
